Session Facilitator (Outdoor) – West Auckland

Playcentre Aotearoa, a well‑known and loved Early Childhood organisation with over 80 years of supporting parents to take the lead in their children’s learning through play, operates over 400 Playcentres throughout New Zealand.

Playcentre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Session Facilitator to lead a weekly outdoor session based in West Auckland. You will work alongside our members and tamariki from various West Auckland Playcentres to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child‑led play and positive guidance, support planning and assessment for learning, and positively support the Playcentre education programme. You will be a leader who encourages others to thrive; you will model Playcentre philosophy and good practice while supporting whānau to gain confidence to have a go themselves.

Position details

Start date : 7 November 2025

Days & hours : Friday 9 : 00 am – 12 : 30 pm. This is a permanent position during school term time only.

The ideal candidate will

• Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher, or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.

Desirable skills and experience

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
