Operational Technology Engineer (Start Asap)

Join Aurora Energy as an Operational Technology Engineer supporting innovative solar, battery, and smart EV solutions in New Zealand's dynamic energy sector.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing :

Support, configure, and maintain SCADA and ADMS systems

Monitor system performance to ensure 24 / 7 reliability

Manage user access and support real-time system operations

Respond to network incidents and provide technical support

Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers

Support system upgrades and process improvements

Integrate data sources and support AI / ML analytics

About You

The company is looking for :

Diverse qualifications such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics with Maths, IT Infrastructure, or related fields

Graduates with internship or project experience in electrical systems or automation and interest in IT / OT

Professionals with real-world energy sector experience, ideally with exposure to protection and power systems

PhD students or graduates with international experience and unrestricted post-study work rights in New Zealand

Individuals transitioning from hands-on roles to engineering with a relevant degree completed

A systems mindset and passion for operational technology
