Overview

This client is a nationally recognised, independent project management consultancy with strong capabilities across many asset classes, which will now extend to infrastructure, civil and advisory projects. Known for their relational style, strong delivery across the full project lifecycle, and commitment to sustainable outcomes, they partner with clients from feasibility & master-planning through to construction.

About the Role : We are looking for a Senior Civil or 3 Waters Project Leader to be based in Hamilton. This is a key leadership role combining technical acumen, project delivery excellence, and business development drive.

You will be expected to :

  • Lead the delivery of civil / 3 waters projects (from planning through construction)
  • Manage teams, guide project performance, ensure quality, cost control, risk management, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Seek out and drive new business opportunities—developing relationships, preparing proposals, and contributing to the growth strategy
  • Mentor and develop staff; contribute to process improvements and best practices across the organisation

What You Bring

  • Significant experience in civil infrastructure or 3 waters engineering / project management
  • Proven track record of leading major projects (planning, design, construction phases)
  • Strong capability in business development—relationship building, proposal generation, negotiation
  • Leadership skills : able to inspire, organise, drive performance in a team
  • Good understanding of sustainability, regulatory requirements, and contemporary best practices in infrastructure delivery
  • Based in Hamilton or the wider Waikato region, with an existing local presence and network
