OverviewQuest on Thorndon serviced apartment offers guests a relaxed and comfortable Wellington accommodation experience, perfect for short or long stays.
We have 36 serviced apartments including studios, and one- and two-bedroom apartments, conveniently located close to Parliament and the central business district.We are looking for an energetic person to join our team in providing the best accommodation experience for our guests.
You will need to bring strong customer service and communication skills, be computer literate, and bring a bubbly personality.Work schedule is approximately 5-6 days per week (minimum 30 hours per week), including weekends as per rosters.
Reception opening hours are Mon–Fri 7 : 00 am–7 : 00 pm, Sat–Sun 8 : 30 am–5 : 00 pm.ResponsibilitiesFull responsibility and management of reception.Front desk activities including check-in, check-out, and taking payments from guests.Handling and entering reservations in our booking platform, guest inquiries, and issues.Respond to incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.Deliver outstanding guest experiences through excellent customer service.Work cooperatively with colleagues to complete assigned duties.Revenue, performance, cost analysis and reporting.Engage with external parties on maintenance tasks.QualificationsGood verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in English.Business savvy with outstanding leadership qualities.Ability to perform under pressure and work to timeframes.A solution-focused approach to problem-solving.Experience in Reservations Management System.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.A can-do attitude to work.An approachable, friendly demeanor.High standards of personal presentation.Flexibility to work on a roster-based schedule, weekends, and public holidays.We are looking for a team member who is energetic and keen to learn, with a polished phone manner, and confident with customer service.
Must have excellent organizational and communication skills, work well within the group, and possess great initiative for problem-solving.
