Overview

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner with general practice experience to join our friendly and supportive team at The Doctors Tui.

The Doctors Tui is a supportive practice in Whangarei.

Our practice has a great team culture and our GPs work closely with a team of experienced health professionals.

You will be working with a team of skilled nurses and GP colleagues and an experienced administration team, supported by a dedicated General Manager.

About the role

The Nurse Practitioner must excel in comprehensive patient care, performing autonomous assessments, diagnoses, treatments, screenings, and prescribing medications.

Offering personalised advice requires a friendly, compassionate, and proactive approach.

Leveraging prior knowledge and skills, you\'ll care for a diverse patient base across all age groups.

You\'ll receive support from GPs, experienced nurses, administration, and the Medical Centre Manager as part of our collaborative team.

This is a permanent full time position working

Do you have what we are looking for?

A current registration with the NZNC as a Nurse Practitioner and current APC is essential

Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.

3 years NP experience in primary care

An aim to improve healthcare access across the practice population

An in-depth knowledge of and passion for primary health care

Ability to demonstrate advanced clinical nursing practice.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build strong rapport with team members.

A physically fit person who is confident, friendly and approachable.
