We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced, caring, and collaborative kaiako to join our senior area team in 2026. We are looking for someone who will bring passion, expertise, and a commitment to nurturing our learners and strengthening our school community.

Our kura is a vibrant, community-focused place of learning with a strong commitment to te reo Māori integration and culturally sustaining practice . We place ākonga at the centre of everything we do and are guided by the principle of Ako where everyone is both a teacher and a learner.

We are looking for someone who :

• Has strong interpersonal skills and a highly positive, collaborative attitude
• Communicates effectively and builds strong relationships with ākonga, whānau, and staff
• Demonstrates a commitment to equitable outcomes and believes in the potential of every learner
• Embeds bicultural practice and integrates te reo Māori and tikanga authentically into daily classroom life
• Has sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum , particularly in literacy and numeracy
• Is a reflective practitioner who adapts their teaching to meet the needs of learners
• Works collaboratively within a supportive, professional team
• Has strong classroom management and creates a safe, engaging learning environment.
