You will join a tight knit team of Ecologists locally, but will be part of the wider NZ Ecology team boasting about 40 consultants.
This is a Principal level role with key focuses being on developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and leading and preparing offers of service for large ecology opportunities.
The role also involved developing and coaching other ecologists in the team and requires technical excellence to ensure our team delivers high quality work to our clients.
Job tasks and responsibilities Your responsibilities will include : Preparing and leading offers of service for large ecology opportunities, focusing on terrestrial and freshwater ecology Developing, facilitating and enhancing effective relationships with our clients and internal SLR team members Delivering clear and precise, high quality reports Undertaking fieldwork activities and resourcing the right teams on projects Working within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects across a range of sectors Skills and experience To be successful in this role, you will need : A degree in Ecology or a related field To demonstrate your consulting experience with 10+ years in Ecology and ideally as an expert who has exceptional technical ability in terrestrial / freshwater ecology To demonstrate experience winning, leading and managing projects Bringing with you an established network and proven ability to win work will be highly advantageous Experience in preparing impact assessments and environmental risk assessments Working knowledge of New Zealand environmental legislation and policies, standards and guidelines Excellent written and verbal communication skills New Zealand Citizenship or rights to work in New Zealand Excellent driving history and hold a current driver's license Our Benefits We are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
