We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Clinical Haematologist to join an established team of seven Haematologists and four resident medical officers. The position is fulltime permanent and required to participate in a 1 in 8 on call roster. There are also clinical responsibilities in one or more of the regions covered by the Regional Cancer Treatment Service. We are ideally looking for someone who has experience and / or a special interest in Haemato-Oncology.

About the service :
Our clientl provides Clinical Haematology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology services to the districts that cover the communities of the Manawatū, northern Wairarapa, Hawke's Bay, Whanganui and Taranaki. This is a combined population of 600,000. The service provides inpatient and outpatient haematology care and manages a wide range of haematological conditions including acute leukaemia, lymphoma, autologus stem cell transplantation, plasma exchange, haemostatsis and thrombosis. The Department maintains an active clinical research portfolio including clinical trials. The service is an approved FRACP training center and undertakes active postgraduate teaching at House Officer, Senior House Officer and Registrar level. Multi-disciplinary case meetings (Tumour Boards) are held locally and regionally.
