Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher. English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts.

Egmont Village School is looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic and passionate teacher to join our kura for the 2026 year. This position will be in our Y5-7 area of the school. If you are committed to making a difference for tamariki, and are interested in keeping up to date with curriculum development, this might be the position for you.

We are looking for a teacher who :

• Is an excellent communicator and team player, building strong, meaningful relationships with tamariki, staff and the wider community.
• Brings a solutions-focused attitude and approaches challenges with positivity.
• Has a passion for teaching and a great sense of humour.
• Is skilled in creating positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environments.

Teaching the basics well, with strong knowledge of structured reading, writing and math programmes is essential, along with strong classroom management skills and the ability to provide innovative learning opportunities. This position is for the 2026 school year and is due to increased roll size.
