We're looking for a skilled Plant Driver / Operator to join our Water Services team.
You'll operate a range of Council vehicles, trucks, and machinery – from tippers and loaders to excavators and backhoes – while helping maintain and improve our wastewater and stormwater networks.
From repairs and construction to general maintenance, you'll be part of a hands-on, supportive crew committed to high safety standards and great customer service.

Te Aheinga - The Opportunity
Operate a variety of NCC trucks, vehicles, and heavy plant (tippers, loaders, excavators, backhoes) safely and efficiently.
Assist with the maintenance, repair, and construction of wastewater and stormwater networks.
Carry out general labouring and support drainage crew activities on-site.
Conduct daily checks and basic maintenance on vehicles, plant, and tools.
Be part of a skilled, supportive team that values safety, quality work, and customer service.

Skilled in operating heavy vehicles and plant, with knowledge of safe loading / unloading and routine maintenance.
Physically fit, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions.
A team player who can follow instructions and adapt to changing priorities.
Holds a full driver's licence (Class 2 or higher preferred).
Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Experience with wastewater or stormwater networks, drainage systems
Flexibility for on-call work highly desirable.
