Senior Support Coordinator

The University of Waikato invites applications for the Senior Support Coordinator role.

About the role

You'll be a key member of our Contact Team, supporting students from their first enquiry through to graduation.

Using data insights, you will identify student needs early, coordinate proactive outreach, and connect learners with appropriate services, advice and resources to help them succeed.

You will lead the creation and maintenance of student cohort structures each trimester, monitor engagement trends, and drive continuous improvement across our systems and processes.

With leadership responsibility for at least one team member, you will ensure workload is prioritised effectively to deliver an exceptional, student-centred service.

Salary is in the range of $85,279 – $97,532 per year, based on skills, knowledge and experience.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week) based on our Hillcrest Campus.

Requirements | Who are you?

You're an empathetic, student-focused professional who thrives on helping others succeed.

You have a background in student services, customer service or a similar support role, and you are confident navigating data systems and using insights to guide decisions.

You're highly organised, digitally savvy and skilled at managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Collaborative and culturally aware, you build strong relationships and communicate with warmth and clarity.

You're adaptable, proactive and driven to improve systems and processes that enhance the student experience.
