Job Description

We're looking for a Senior ER Advisor to join our People Experience (PX) team for a fixed-term opportunity through to 30 June 2026. You'll be the go-to person for complex employee relations matters, providing sound, pragmatic advice and building strong relationships across the organisation.

This role is key to ensuring consistency in our ER practice, supporting our People Partners and Advisors, and contributing to policy development, compliance, and collective bargaining processes. You'll also mentor others and help shape a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Fixed-term full-time role until 30 June 2026
  • Based at Mount Wellington and Manukau hubs
  • Experienced in the social services sector, with insight into community needs

You'll be joining a passionate PX team that operates nationally, engaging with a diverse range of services and stakeholders — and learning lots about the social sector along the way!

You're someone who thrives in complex ER environments and builds rapport easily. You understand the importance of relational practice and bring a calm, confident approach to supporting leaders and kaimahi through challenging situations.

  • Extensive experience in ER and IR, ideally within the social services sector
  • Proven ability to manage complex ER cases and investigations
  • Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in HR, ER, or a related field
  • Experience in a unionised environment, including collective bargaining
  • What We Offer

Join a team that champions positive culture, collaboration, and fun! With three wellbeing leave days and flexible working arrangements, we place your health and work-life balance at the forefront. We celebrate every success and support your growth—personally and professionally.

Make a real impact with your employment relations skills — doing good for your community.
