Permanent Part-Time position working 30 hours per week Monday to Friday 7.30am to 1.30pmHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.Health New Zealand is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated WellFood Department at Hillmorton Hospital to help feed our turoro (patients) and whanau (family).

Our Kitchen Assistant kapa (team) are responsible for ensuring that the needs of each turoro (patient) is met to the highest standard, following standardised recipes and using creative flair to present food that we can be proud of while maintaining clean and tidy working areas.

There will be some light cooking and meals on wheels.Salary starting from $28.63 per hour, Based on the Etu Multi-Employer Collective Agreement.About YouWe are looking for a reliable, hardworking and flexible candidate who can bring their passion for food to our Hillmorton facility.You will also be responsible for maintaining and adhering to our Food Control Plan, Health New Zealand code of conduct and Health and Safety procedures.Full training will be provided to all new staff joining our team.Skills and ExperienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA fast learner who can pick up new skills quicklyA friendly, positive attitude with the ability to maintain speed without compromising standards.Good time management and an eye for detail.Ongoing training and developmentTime and a half on weekends and double time on Public HolidaysHealth New Zealand employee benefitsWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
