We’re looking for an experienced Tumuaki who understands the unique strengths and challenges of Tumuaki Māori and / or Tumuaki leading dual curriculum kura.
We need someone who is committed to walking alongside Tumuaki as they continue to enhance the schools reo Māori and cultural aspirations.
This leadership advisor role will support Tumuaki across Te Tai Tokerau and Tāmaki Makaurau.
They will report to the Director of Education in your rohe, be part of a national team of leadership advisors and be supported by the Chief Advisor.
You will work closely with the regional leadership advisors and the wider Te Mahau team to develop innovative and effective ways to meet the unique, current and emerging needs of the Tumuaki in these contexts.
We are looking for an experienced Tumuaki with current / recent successful sector experience and strong connections within the network who can share their experience, provide advice, coaching and support to others in similar situations.
Applications are invited for this leadership advisor role, by secondments of 12 or 24 months. Start date is negotiable with the successful candidate from the 28January 2026.
