What you’ll be doing

Committed to making energy cleaner and cheaper for Aotearoa New Zealand, our Retail structure is made up of a network of empowered teams, united by a shared purpose and clear goals, equipped with the skills and capabilities to deliver value to customers end to end.

As an Energy Partner you will strongly contribute to the delivery of the Retail Business' growth strategy, by proactively driving a pipeline of new business, and providing value‑add relationship management for opportunities within our portfolio of high‑value business customers. You will drive business growth and deliver exceptional value in every interaction to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Other accountabilities include :

  • Driving a pipeline of new business opportunities, developing, and implementing sales strategies.
  • Managing a portfolio of business customers, uncovering strategic opportunities.
  • Focusing on retention by being a trusted advisor, identifying upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
  • Ensuring that all customer interactions drive growth for both the customer and Meridian.
  • Contract negotiation and closing deals aligned with strategic objectives and financial targets.
