About the opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Operations Manager to lead our IT operations across New Zealand and the United Kingdom. This is a pivotal role in our global team, responsible for delivering a seamless, secure, and consistent IT experience for all Sysdoc staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and continuously improve IT operations, infrastructure, and support services across NZ and the UK.
• Lead digital improvement projects, enhancing our core systems.
• Manage vendor relationships, supplier contracts, and cost control.
• Lead, coach, and develop the IT Support team, managing performance and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with ISO27001 and NZ / UK data protection laws.
• Oversee helpdesk support, technical troubleshooting, and user onboarding / offboarding.
• Manage and support core business applications (key applications include Microsoft 365, Netsuite / OpenAir, Vantage Point, Dynamics 365, Azure).
• Maintain accurate IT documentation and knowledge base.
• Communicate regularly with UK-based colleagues, including outside standard NZ business hours.

About you

You are an experienced IT leader with a passion for delivering high-quality, secure, and reliable IT services in a dynamic, project-driven environment. You thrive on managing complex infrastructure and business applications, and you have a proven track record in leading IT teams and driving continuous improvement.

You are a strong communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively across regions and time zones. You are comfortable with flexible working hours and are committed to supporting colleagues in both NZ and the UK.

You have hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and a range of business applications. You understand the importance of compliance, security, and documentation, and you are proactive in identifying and implementing enhancements.

You are a keen learner, a problem solver, and a team player who embodies Sysdoc’s values of high energy, absolute integrity, and relentless commitment.

Relevant Microsoft 365 administration certifications (e.g. MS-900, MS-102, AZ-900) are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage.
