Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher

Subjects : English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts.

Omihi School is a primary school from Y1-8 situated in the beautiful North Canterbury, 15 minutes north of Amberley.

We have a roll of 42 students and are looking for someone to join our 'One Big Whanau'.

Responsibilities

Develop strong relationships with tamariki and uphold high expectations of yourself and your students.

Deliver curriculum in all areas, with a particular focus on mathematics and literacy.

Implement a structured literacy approach as utilized by our kura.

Support culturally responsive teaching and uphold the school's values.

Qualifications & Experience

Certificated teacher for Primary and Intermediate (Years 1–8).

Sound knowledge of all curriculum areas, with emphasis on mathematics and literacy.

Experience with a structured literacy approach is beneficial.

Experience, interest or strengths in Literacy and PE / Sports are advantageous.
