Due to retirement a rare opportunity has arisen.

West Melton Kindergarten, Nursery and Learning Centre is seeking a warm, dedicated, and passionate qualified early childhood kaiako to join our Nursery team.

This is a full-time position within a supportive, family-oriented centre where relationships and respect are at the heart of everything we do.

About the role

Full-time, (Monday–Friday).

Working within our nurturing Nurseryroom.

Planning and implementing meaningful, play-based learning experiences.

Building trusting relationships with tamariki and their whanau.

Contributing to our collaborative team culture and reflective practice.

Upholding Te Whariki and integrating Te Ao Maori into daily teaching.

Understand and be committed to implementing the philosophy and core values within our centre.

Positive and proactive attitude to developing learning for tamariki as well as your own.

The ideal candidate will create a warm, responsive and stimulating environment that promotes exploration, learning and development for our tamariki.

About you :

We're looking for someone who :

Holds a Level 7 ECE qualification and current NZ teacher registration (or is in process).

Brings warmth, patience, and empathy to their practice.

Values teamwork and open communication.

Has a genuine passion for working with our youngest learners.
