Transport has the potential to shape our city for the better - from the streets we live, work and spend time on, to the trains, bus services, cycle and walkways we use every dayTe Whiwhinga mahi- The Opportunity- Principal Property SpecialistAs a Principal Property Specialist you will provide professional in house property advice, project management and lead strategic input into all aspects of property, in particular property acquisition.

You'll work on many diverse transformational projects with a wide range of parties and experts in your profession and related disciplines.This role works closely with other units and divisions within Auckland Transport, Auckland Council and Eke Panuku Development Auckland to ensure property acquisition and disposal programmes are developed and implemented in accordance with statutory provisions.Key Tasks include : Provide high level propertyadvice and guidance to support the achievement of projectoutcomes and the property acquisition needs of Auckland Transport's projects.Identify scope of potential purchases and land involved with attributes such as : ownership, legal description, tenure, interests of other parties and the like.Commission and interpret valuation reports for the land involved.Manage the negotiation of agreements for the sale and purchase of land under the Public Works Act (PWA).
