Industrial Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Industrial Electrician to join our client's team in South Auckland.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across their facility.

Your work will be critical in ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on plant machinery, production lines, and facility systems.

Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation faults efficiently.

Maintain and update electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Conduct preventative maintenance in line with schedules and safety protocols.

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, electrical codes, and internal safety and hygiene standards.

Participate in plant shutdowns, equipment installations, and system upgrades.

What You'll Bring

Current EWRB registration with a minimum of 2 years' experience in an industrial environment – this is essential.

Experience with automated control systems such as PLC, SCADA, VSD, and Servo Drives is highly desirable.

Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

A mechanical aptitude or dual-trade experience is a strong advantage.
