Mō te tūnga | About the role
- Based at Northgate Office. Will also work from the Hamilton CBD office periodically.
- Lead the Waikato Schemes team in delivering flood protection infrastructure.
- Manage planning, operations, and the renewal of schemes in Lower Waikato, Waipā and Lake Taupō zones.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with iwi partners and stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery of work programmes and projects.
- Oversee a team of 22, including direct reports and contractors.
- Ensure work programmes align with council strategies – health & safety and environmental standards.
- Contribute to long-term planning, budgeting, and performance reporting.
