We offer rest home, hospital, and dementia care to the elderly in 19 residential facilities throughout New Zealand, with ALden Rose Lodge located in Invercargill, Southland.We have a part-time opportunity for an experienced Cook to join our team at Rose Lodge on Fridays and Saturdays, from 8 : 30 am to 3 : 30 pm, with the potential for additional hours as needed for coverage.You will be responsible for assisting with cooking in our on-site, commercial kitchen and ensuring that all nutritional requirements are met.About the Role :

• Part-time hours, 2 days a week, 1 weekend day required
• You will be providing nutritious and attractive meals to our residents.
• The menu is on a 4-week rotation.
• Ensuring excellent food hygiene practice at all times
• Work unsupervised and cope with a busy environment
• Cleaning up food preparation areas and kitchens
• Operating the dishwasher
• Handling food deliveriesAbout You :
• Savvy knowledge of food prep and safety
• Knowledge of food safety standards (167 / 168)
• Food Handling Certificate required.
• Experience in a commercial setting is desired
• Dedicated and reliable
• Caring nature and passionate about working with the elderly
• Excellent communication skills
