Overview
Classic Flyers NZ is seeking a seasoned Chef to support the Kitchen Manager in the everyday procedures of our busy kitchen at a location in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. The operation is seven days a week, so adaptable hours are required to meet the needs of the business. The role involves assisting with day-to-day kitchen operations in a busy environment that includes a café, seminar spaces, and an Air Travel Museum.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Kitchen Manager in day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook high-quality food for the café, corporate events, and large functions.
- Stock control, purchasing, food handling and hygiene.
- Communicate with and support staff in other divisions; collaborate with team members to maintain service standards.
- Demonstrate excellent time management and reliability.
Qualifications
Trade-recognised qualification.Minimum of three years\' experience in a comparable role.Ability to consistently produce top-quality food for a range of service environments.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Benefits
