About the Role
Reporting to the All of Government (AoG) Portfolio Manager, we currently have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Specialist to join a high performing team within the New Zealand Government Procurement Branch.
The Commercial Specialist AoG works collaboratively to ensure that a segment of collaborative government contracts generate the best value for New Zealand, while ensuring that agencies needs are being met. Each Category team is responsible for a delegated portfolio / category of government expenditure.
This role is a great opportunity to lead a key category within the Specialised Services Portfolio. As the Commercial Specialist AoG, you’ll take primary responsibility for the Insurance Brokering Services category. While experience in the insurance market is a bonus, it’s not essential- we’re looking for someone with strong commercial acumen and a collaborative mindset.
New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP), part of MBIE, supports government agencies and suppliers to deliver fair, inclusive, and efficient procurement. We're a team of specialists in data, systems, communications, and contract management, passionate about using procurement to achieve broader outcomes - like reducing emissions, supporting workers, and strengthening iwi relationships.
