About the Role

Join our dynamic Operations Team in sunny Bay of Plenty! We are looking for an organized, solutions-focused professional who thrives in fast-paced construction and building maintenance environments. This is a 30 hours per week role, and with days and hours flexible and to be agreed.

As our Operations Coordinator, no two days will be the same. You will be the operational backbone of our Bay of Plenty branch, ensuring seamless coordination between team members, subcontractors, and clients while working closely with the Operations Manager. Whether you are a seasoned operations professional or looking to deepen or expand your career in operations, in this role you will be assisting the Operations Manager with the :

  • management of daily operations
  • scheduling of all resources, jobs, team members, and subcontractors
  • delivery of projects and jobs on time, within budget, and to a high standard
  • monthly financial administration for the business unit

What We are Looking For

You will have strong operational experience from the trades or service environments and proven experience running a team of Technicians and Contractors. You are energetic, outgoing, and thrive on variety. You can switch seamlessly between detailed spreadsheet work and face-to-face problem-solving. Above all, you are a team player who keeps operations running like clockwork.

Ideally you will have :

  • At least 2 years of administration experience in a busy operational or scheduling role, gained within the property maintenance, trade, construction, or related industry
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook) with proven ability to master new software quickly
  • Strong systems skills, with ERP experience ideally in WorkBench & Upvise
  • Exceptional organisational abilities with a meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritisation skills in high-pressure environments
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Experience with HSEQ incident reporting and compliance
  • Understanding of accounts and job costing principles
  • Enthusiastic with a good sense of humour
  • A hands‑on attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed
