Kaiako - Secondary Tertiary Programme

The primary function of this role is to teach secondaryschool tauira a Secondary Tertiary Programme (STP) which is specificallydesigned for 15 - 17 year olds.

Responsibilities

• Plantutoring sessions and manage day to day delivery of the Secondary TertiaryProgramme
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Conduct discussions to increase tauira knowledge and competence by using appropriate tools or other relevant methods that motivate learning
• Communicate with tauira on their progress and encourage tauira to take responsibility for their own learning and behaviour
• Maintain records of tauira

We are looking for someone who has the following :

Qualifications

As a kaupapa Māori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
