Fostering a collaborative, solutions-focused culture within the team and across the wider business, this role is responsible for leading the Business Services team in delivering professional, efficient, and effective business services.
Reporting to the CEO and ensuring financial compliance with both New Zealand and Australian regulations, you will lead the team in the provision and management of first class financial, business administration and IT services for all MEL Entities.
Implementing effective strategies and acting as a trusted financial advisor to senior stakeholders across the business, this dynamic role is based at our Head Office, Kawerau, in the sunny Eastern Bay of Plenty.

Proven skills in leadership and mentoring.
Demonstrated knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
An attitude of continuous improvement.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven accounting, payroll and job management system knowledge and experience.
Experience in inter-company and inter-country accounting and reporting.
The ability to produce financial reports and ad hoc financial analysis to interpret financial performance, providing commentary on key business drivers to support decision-making, operational and strategic initiatives while recommending further courses of action.
Experience in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, financial statements, board, and management reports.
Comprehensive understanding of GST compliance, tax and related statutory obligations for New Zealand and Australia.
The ability to share knowledge and leverage technology to enhance reporting and business outcomes.
Excellent written, communication and Microsoft Office skills.
5+ years' experience in similar roles.
