These solutions should have elements of applications, integrations, data migrations and business change.
It is expected that your skills, experience, and technical knowledge will enable you to quickly adapt and contribute to similar projects, while your motivation to learn and achieve will drive your self-directed learning and upskilling.The Project Manager is accountable to UP Education Group IT and the respective provider companies for the successful delivery of multiple projects in tandem from conception to closure.
You will be responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
An excellent motivated multitasker who can apply her / his skills and experience to all the project management principles, throughout the project lifecycle.
And importantly to effective problem solving, guiding stakeholder decisions and building collaborative cross functional project teams with across the business, Group IT and vendors.Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical and business feasibility.
Ensure alignment with organizational goals and measurable value outcomes.Build each project delivery approach based on the project objectives, solution, budget and resources.
Apply the appropriate delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, hybrid).
Create and maintain the necessary project control mechanisms or tools that will allow you effectively drive the project.
Such asdetailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation;Jira – tasks, plans, timelines, roadmaps;Regular project planning, stand-ups and reviews; Project Teams channels and SharePoint document repository; and Collaboration tools, such as Lucid charts, Miro Boards.Set-up, manage and build project teams or workstreams with resources from the business, Group IT and vendors.Ensure productive, collaborative and regular interactions with progress, expectations and dependencies clearly communicated.Assign tasks, owners, and timelines; ensure accountability.Ensure that all teams and team members are focused on the right thing and the right time.Establish governance and process to manage risks, issues and change (RACI / Steering Committee / Risk and Issues management process and register / Change management process and register)Set-up and manage project budgets, forecast spend, and reporting.Last but most importantly, ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.QualificationsRequired ExperienceMinimum 5+ years' proven hands-on working experience in end-to-end IT project management.Proven track record delivering complex technical solutionswith strong technical understanding of business applications, Integrations, and / or Data migration.Proven experience of managing multiple projects in tandem successfully.Skilled and self-sufficient in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPointProficiency in a range of project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Smartsheet, Trello or equivalent.Practical experience delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and / or hybrid methodologies.Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.Excellent client-facing, vendor management and internal communication skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven experience creating detailed delivery plans and schedules, managing dependencies, and adjusting as needed.Strong facilitation, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.Valid project management certification(s) such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or AgilePM.Preferred ExperienceDelivered success IT project in the New Zealand and / or Australian education sector.Understanding of Student Management Systems (SMS), Learning Management Systems (LMS), CRM platforms, and related integration projects.Familiarity with New Zealand / Australia's education system and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.Experience in vendor selection and contract negotiation.Exposure to business case development and benefits realisation tracking.Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate cross-functional teams.High emotional intelligence with excellent relationship-building abilities.Ability to operate under pressure and manage competing priorities.Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management with attention to detail with a strategic mindset.Proactive communicator who provides solutions, not just updates.Adaptability to changing business needs and evolving project landscapes.Able to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to change.Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills.Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth and assisting others to achieve their potentialAdditional InformationWhy Join UsLead impactful projects that shape education outcomes.Work with a forward-thinking, collaborative team.Opportunities for professional growth and certification support.Flexible working arrangements in a dynamic environment.Our application process : To apply for this position, please submit your resume and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and interest in the role.Questions about your identity help us appreciate the diversity of individuals looking to work with us, ensuringwe'reattracting applications from people with identities and perspectives that are as diverse as our students.We are an equal opportunity employer.
