Research Fellow (Applied Quantum Algorithms) — National University of Singapore, QueenstownThe National University of Singapore is the national research university of Singapore.

Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and the Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in Singapore.Job DescriptionThe research fellow will work closely with Miklos Santha and Patrick Rebentrost on developing novel quantum algorithms and subroutines.

A particular focus is developing quantum methods that have potential application in the context of machine learning and finance.

The work is both theoretical, i.e., formulating and proving theorems, and numerical, i.e., converting algorithms into circuits and simulating them.
