Carpenter

United Construction Limited is a well-established construction company based in Auckland. We are involved in a wide range of residential and commercial building projects across the Auckland region. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a experienced and motivated  Carpenter to join our team.

Key Responsibilities :

Constructing, assembling, installing and repairing wooden and metal structures and fittings.

Studying drawings, specifications and work orders to determine materials, dimensions and installation procedures.

Measuring, cutting, shaping, and joining timber, plywood and other materials.

Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings, ready for installation.

Using hand tools, power tools and machines to shape and assemble timber and other materials.

Checking accuracy of work with levels, rulers and other measuring tools.

Ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality requirements.

Collaborating with site managers, builders and other tradespeople to complete projects on time.

Skills and Experience Required

At least a relevant qualification at NZQF Level4 (e.g. NZ Certificate in Carpentry) is preferred, OR

At least two years of relevant work experience as a Carpenter or similar role.

Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential or commercial construction.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Competent in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Good physical fitness and the ability to work at heights or in confined spaces.

Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
