About the Role

We are seeking experienced Correctional / Prison Health Registered Nurses to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, compassionate care to inmates within correctional facilities, supporting their health and wellbeing in a unique and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions for patients in a correctional setting.

Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and facility protocols.

Respond effectively to medical emergencies and manage patients with acute and chronic health needs.

Promote health education and preventive care tailored to the correctional population.

Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical officers, mental health professionals, and custodial staff.

Uphold infection control standards, safety protocols, and ethical nursing practices.

Skills & Experience

AHPRA Registered Nurse (Division 1) – essential

Full working rights in Australia – essential

Do Not apply if you do not have working rights in Australia

Minimum 3 years’ clinical nursing experience

Previous experience in Correctional / Prison Health – highly regarded

Willingness to support workforce needs in correctional settings

Must be willing to travel around Australia, contracts maybe accross different states
