This team enables the delivery of transformative transport infrastructure.As a Property Specialist, you will provide professional in-house property advice and project management into all aspects of property, in particular property acquisition.
You'll work on many diverse transformational projects with a wide range of parties and experts in your profession and related disciplines.This role works closely with other units and divisions within Auckland Transport and Auckland Council to ensure property acquisition programmes are developed and implemented in accordance with statutory provisions.You will ideally have experience delivering acquisition programmes gained within the private or public sector, be highly organised, an experienced communicator and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Manage the negotiation of agreements for the sale and purchase of land under the Public Works Act.Prepare acquisition strategies that consider programme, budget and risk.Provide high level propertyadvice and guidance to support the achievement of projectoutcomes and the property acquisition needs of AT projects.Identify scope of potential purchases and land involved with attributes such as ownership, legal description, tenure, interests of other parties and the like.Commission and interpret valuation reports.Identify potential risk areas and develop and implement strategies to mitigate these should they become issues.Forecasting and budgeting on property acquisitions.Maintain accurate and up to date management and information systems.Preferably, a tertiary qualification in Property, Law, Business or Valuation or a minimum of 4 years' experience working in a property related industryExperience within the wider property industry as a subject matter expert (2 yrs +)A strong results orientation and experience within the property industryYou will ideally have property acquisition experience within the public sector or property development or worked for an organisation involved in property acquisitions for the public sectorKnowledge of the Public Works Act, Local Government Act and Resource Management ActKnowledge of property valuations is highly desirableAt AT, weembraceinclusion and fully support building a diverse workplace where people come first and we feel safe, respected, valued and supported, inclusive of our differences.Our values are more than just words - they are integral to everything we do.
