The Inpatient Unit covers a variety of medical and surgical specialties and you will be working rostered and rotating AM, PM and Nights, generally from Monday to Sunday.As a Health Care Assistant you will be part of our dedicated nursing environment with full support.

Your role is to work within the team to assist nursing staff in care delivery, basic patient observations, some clinical tests and monitoring and other tasks as directed by the Registered Nurse.About the Team / LocationWe practice in a collaborative patient partnership model of care to achieve best outcomes for our patients / families and whanau.The Wairau Hospital Inpatient Unit provides dedicated care to patients across Medical, Surgical and AT&R specialties.

The team work closely together to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care in a compassionate and patient centred manner.
