Design Engineer role in Auckland focusing on design, pricing, planning, and tendering for a leading electricity and fibre network provider.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing :
- Designing, pricing, planning, and tendering services contributing to company success.
- Preparing work methodologies and ensuring peer review of designs and pricing before submission.
- Providing technical expertise and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Conducting site visits to scope projects and prepare accurate tenders.
- Preparing precise pricing, tender documentation, and project records.
- Producing CAD construction and as-built drawings to specification.
- Reporting to the Design Engineering Team Leader at the Auckland Depot.
About You

Experienced Design Engineers or Estimators in the electricity distribution industry.Practical field-based professionals transitioning into an engineering role.Recent electrical engineering graduates eager to learn and grow.Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, power systems, and distribution networks.Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.Great written and verbal communication skills.A full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).Strong organisational and planning skills with a focus on safety and quality.Comfortable working with diverse teams and stakeholders in a multicultural environment.A sharp eye for detail and accuracy.Flexibility and adaptability to meet project demands.Compensation & Benefits
