As a General Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and contributing to financial reporting processes.
Your responsibilities will include journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and participation in month-end and year-end closing activities.
Attention to detail, a solid grasp of accounting principles, and effective teamwork are central to thriving in this role.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post journal entries to accurately record financial transactions.Reconcile accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary information.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.Support the analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.Conduct regular reviews of balance sheet and income statement accounts.Provide insightful analysis and explanations for variances and trends.Assist in the preparation of management reports.Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.Maintain organized and well-documented financial records.Support audits and provide required documentation.Identify opportunities for process enhancement and efficiency.Contribute to the implementation of streamlined accounting procedures.Collaborate with team members to optimize financial workflows.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or similar certification is advantageous.Proven experience in accounting roles with an emphasis on general accounting functions.Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and practices.Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.Analytical mindset with the ability to spot trends and variances.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is a plus.Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities.Strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.Equal Opportunity StatementWe love the fact that we're all different.
