Finance Economics and Analytics – Senior Analyst
Join our Finance, Economics and Analytics team in a full‑time, permanent capacity at PwC New Zealand. Based in Wellington, you will support consulting projects across a range of industries, delivering tailored research, financial and economic advice, sector insights, and strategic support to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Support consulting projects across various industries; produce research, financial and economic advice and sector insights.
 - Undertake financial analysis, cost‑benefit analysis, forecasting, value assessments and economic impact analysis.
 - Build and develop financial models, business cases, feasibility studies, valuations, investment and transaction support, and other analytical deliverables.
 - Use financial modelling, forecasting and statistical data analysis to provide comprehensive insights.
 - Supervise and develop junior team members, fostering an environment of learning and growth.
 - Build and nurture relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
 
Qualifications & Skills
2.5+ years of experience in corporate, government or consulting sectors, focusing on financial, commercial and advisory services.Degree in finance, accounting or a related field; postgraduate qualifications and CFA or CA credentials are advantageous.Highly analytical mindset with strong business acumen and strategic insight.Advanced problem‑solving skills and experience on complex financial or economic projects.High standards of written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex ideas clearly.Expert‑level proficiency in Excel – building structured, formula‑driven worksheets and summarising / analyzing large data sets; VBA macro experience is a bonus.Benefits & Working Conditions
