Albany Junior High School is a middle school (Y7–10) on Auckland’s North Shore, offering a future-focused, strength-based curriculum for emerging adolescents. We serve a diverse community who appreciate all that is on offer in our unique school environment.

We are looking for an inspiring and passionate English teacher to join our Y9-10 English faculty, starting in Term 1 2026. As a school community, we provide a caring and inclusive teaching and learning environment, with a strong pastoral support system. Our values of whanaungatanga and culturally relevant practice guide our philosophy, underpinning our teaching and learning.

We seek a positive, collaborative team member with an energetic attitude to learning and change, to enable the ongoing academic progress of our students.

Albany Junior High School operates under the PPTA, Secondary Collective Agreement and offers a minimum of 5 non-contact hours per week.

Applicants must be well versed in the NZC, have current NZ teacher registration.

Applicants must have either NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
