Production Specialist - Afternoon Shift

JDE Peet's is looking for a committed Production Assistant or Machine Operator or Assembly worker in our factory in Otara, Auckland to work from 3 : 30pm to midnight, Monday to Friday.

This is a permanent, full-time role.

The world of coffee and tea is an exciting one, and our Auckland factory is an important part of that; therefore, there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills across a range of machinery.

This role is vital in ensuring a safe work environment and the production of high-quality tea and coffee.

Key tasks will include :

Operating machinery

Manufacturing and packaging tea and coffee products to specifications

Setting up machines and / or weighing scales (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle

Packing, stacking, and moving pallets with the use of a forklift when / if required

Ensuring raw materials accurately flow to the machines

Fixing any issues that might happen during the shift (including basic troubleshooting) or asking for help to problem solve

Completing paperwork

Maintaining high-quality standards and aiming for continuous improvement

Keeping a clean and safe working environment and making the best use of the space available

Completing quality and production records in line with policies / procedures

Reporting any issues / non-conformances & waste

Labelling / tagging of bags and packing

Working to meet daily targets

Proactively managing your own time and work priorities

Working both autonomously and as part of a team

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience :

Production Operator experience (ideally within Food, Beverage or Pharma Industries)

A forklift licence with operations experience is preferred

You're able to safely lift up to 25kgs

Willingness to learn, grow, and adapt as production needs change

Willingness to commit full time to the afternoon shift (3 : 30pm – 00 : 00am) including paid overtime as needed

You have your own transport to get to our factory in Otara
