Network Architect

Job Summary

Our client is looking to hire a Network Architect who will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a Digital Transition and Accelerated Transition Roadmap. This will be a contract role till 30 June 2026 and based in Wellington.

Responsibilities

• Design the network topology to enable secure connectivity
• Defining architectural blueprint for connectivity, segmentation, firewall configuration, and endpoint management
• Balancing day‑one interoperability with long‑term scalability and independence
• Collaborating with the Security Architect and Ministry infrastructure teams
• Applying expertise in hybrid cloud, SD‑WAN, zero‑trust networking, and endpoint management
• Conducting network assurance reviews and defining interface models for day‑one and steady‑state operations
