Devops Engineer (Data)

OverviewDevops Engineer (Data) role at Randstad New Zealand.

Contract position until June 2026, based in Wellington, NZ.

Immediate availability or short notice preferred.ResponsibilitiesDesigning, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and feeds.Implementing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.Working closely with data scientists and engineers to deploy and manage data-related services.Automating and optimising data workflows and operational processes.Monitoring and troubleshooting data pipeline performance and reliability.Skills & ExperienceProven experience in data engineering and DevOps, specifically within a multi-cloud environment.Expertise in building and managing data feeds and ETL / ELT processes across different cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or similar, with a focus on cross-platform deployments.Strong Python skills for data manipulation and scripting.Familiarity with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their orchestration in various cloud settings.A solid understanding of cloud-agnostic tools and methodologies for consistency and reliability across providers.Additional InformationLocation : Wellington, New ZealandEmployment type : ContractLegal entitlement to work in New Zealand required at time of application.Randstad is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
