Are you a highly skilled 3D modeller with a passion for transforming architectural designs into immersive, real-time experiences?
We are looking for an
Intermediate Real-Time Architectural 3D Modeller
to join our team and play a pivotal role in our project pipeline.
In this role, you'll be the crucial link between architectural design data and our real-time visualisation needs, ensuring that all assets are meticulously prepared, optimised, and delivered with a focus on accuracy and performance.
What You'll Do
3D Modelling & Asset Creation :
You will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D models of architectural elements, infrastructure, and environmental props.
This involves interpreting detailed design documentation from architects to ensure extreme accuracy in dimensions, proportions, and spatial relationships.
Your work will be crucial in building and refining the 3D scenes and environments that form the core of our projects.
Data Preparation & Workflow Optimisation :
A key part of your role will be to interpret and clean raw design data from a variety of sources, including CAD, Revit, and Rhino files.
You'll prepare these files for real-time workflows by organising them, applying standardised naming conventions, and ensuring all assets are correctly aligned to project coordinate systems.
You'll act as a vital link between architectural data and our real-time visualisation team, helping to standardise workflows and export protocols to ensure assets are perfectly optimised for Unreal Engine.
Quality Assurance & Delivery :
You'll validate the integrity of your models, checking geometry, normals, and subdivisions to ensure a clean and functional asset.
A crucial part of this is ensuring all models are optimised for real-time performance without sacrificing visual fidelity.
You'll test and review assets directly within Unreal Engine to confirm correct placement and performance.
Additionally, you'll work closely with project leads to align on project priorities and deadlines, and you'll maintain documentation on your modelling methods to ensure a smooth, collaborative process.
Finally, you will deliver clean, reliable, and well-organised assets for use by the team.
Requirements
Experience :
Proven experience in architectural and / or landscape 3D modelling with a strong portfolio that showcases your ability to create accurate and clean models from architectural design data.
Certification or Qualifications :
A Diploma in Architectural Technology is a preferred but not required.
3ds Max : Strong fundamentals and a proven track record using 3ds Max for architectural and landscape modelling.
We understand this is a specialist tool, so a willingness to learn is crucial if you have strong fundamentals in other software.
BIM Software : Demonstrated experience with BIM software, Revit, CAD, and Rhino to clean and prepare files for 3D modelling.
Skills :
Strong fundamentals in architectural and landscaping modelling, with a keen eye for accuracy, scale, and detail.
Solid understanding of how design data translates into 3D environments.
Highly organised with naming conventions, file structures, and workflows.
A collaborative mindset and a knack for problem-solving.
