Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team in Newmarket. At Lightspeed, our goal is to create the best possible experience for retailers. As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll dive deep into understanding the retail landscape, identify opportunities for growth, and help shape the future of our products.

You’ll be responsible for setting the product strategy and uncovering new opportunities to drive innovation. Working closely with engineers and designers, you’ll help ensure everyone understands the why and what behind the solutions we’re building. The ideal candidate is a team player who’s eager to learn, adaptable to change, and detail-oriented, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively, take initiative, and provide constructive feedback.

What you’ll be doing

  • Discover and Define : Identify high-impact problems that can be solved at scale to maximise the team’s effectiveness.
  • Risk and Delivery : Provide your team with a strong understanding of business constraints and customer needs, ensuring they have the context and autonomy to deliver the best solutions.
  • Stakeholder management : Use data and logic to influence teammates, colleagues, stakeholders, and executives, securing alignment on priorities and desired outcomes.

  • Contributing to a world class product team by sharing knowledge and showcasing product management skills.
  • Building strong retailer advocacy, increasing retailer empathy and understanding throughout the company.
  • What you need to bring

  • Previous Senior level experience with technology-driven products in roles such as product manager, product designer, engineer, data analyst, or user researcher.
  • Proven experience collaborating effectively with engineers, designers, and company leaders.
  • Ability to work across multiple business functions, including engineering, design, finance, sales, and marketing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges, assess risks, and present well-structured, data-informed solutions.
