- As a Costing Analyst in Ara Poutama Aotearoa's Strategic Finance team, you will help build and refine financial models that inform long term planning, investment decisions, and major funding bids.
These models underpin critical work such as forecasting prisoner volumes, supporting multimillion dollar budget proposals, and helping ensure our leadership teams and external stakeholders have confidence in the decisions we make.You will work closely with the Senior Strategic Finance Modeller and report to the Director Strategic Finance, contributing to a range of modelling and analysis activities including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and business case development.
The role also offers scope to support project teams with costing analysis and other financial insights.Whether you have experience working with data, financial analysis, or project based modelling, this is a great opportunity to step into strategic finance and grow your expertise in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Nga pukenga me nga wheako | Skills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you will bring :Experience in a large, complex organisation, ideally within the public sector.Strong understanding of financial modelling and experience using system tools to build integrated, dynamic models.Proven ability to analyse complex information and present clear, well-reasoned conclusions.Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and understanding of key business drivers.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.Nga painga | The benefitsThe midpoint of the salary range is $106,789 per annum, and the full range (85%–120%) is $90,771 - $128,147.Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.We offer :
