Visy Glass crafts pure, sustainable, and iconic glass packaging for many world-renowned brands, and provides high-quality glass packaging for beer, wine, spirits, food, and non-alcoholic beverages.The opportunityWe are recruiting an experienced Stores Controller to join Visy Glass, Penrose, Auckland.

The primary purpose of the Stores Controller is to supervise the Glass plant store onsite and manage all goods inwards and outwards at the Auckland Glass Manufacturing Facility, ensuring operational efficiency and cost control by company policy and procedures.

This role supports the plant's production needs through strategic material management, collaboration with stakeholders, and continuous improvement initiatives.Key responsibilitiesMaintain accurate inventory records in SAP and ensure proper stock handlingInspect incoming goods and verify against purchase ordersConduct regular stocktakes and manage inter-branch transfersMonitor and control off-site equipment movementsPerform supplier compliance audits to uphold quality and safety standardsCollaborate with departments to review reorder levels and support purchasing decisionsDrive process improvements and support cost-saving initiativesWhat you will bring to the team5+ years in inventory management, or related roles within manufacturing or industrial environmentsProficiency in SAP or similar ERP systemsYear 13 or equivalentStrong analytical skills for managing inventory and forecastingExcellent supplier relationship management, negotiation, and compliance audit skillsHigh attention to detail for inventory accuracy and contract managementProactive problem-solving and effective prioritisation of competing demandsStrong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamworkIn return, we offer a remuneration package that includes a competitive salary, on-site gym and physio, staff discount card, and a canteen that serves hot meals.If this sounds like something you are interested in, please APPLY NOW!
