  • We are seeking an engaging Lead Advisor to provide specialist, sector-focused advice for key workforce initiatives and changes.
  • Opportunity to work on meaningful initiatives that drive positive change.
  • Permanent fulltime role, Wellington-based

The Lead Advisor plays a unique role in various sector changes including those relating to teacher recruitment, retention and professional development, and the implementation of bargaining outcomes.

They develop strategy and plans to ensure our people related projects are delivered in a customer centred way.

This role provides specialist 'sector-focused' advice to teams to implement people-related policies.

As a critical relationship holder, this role focusses on how we work with the sector and our external stakeholders to understand and respond to customer needs.

It helps make changes that impact all parts of the workforce lifecycle and look for opportunities to achieve a world class- learner centred education workforce through a diverse work programme.

Salary range : $100,296 - $121,490 per annum + 3% kiwi saver.

The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.

About you | Mohou ake

To be successful in the role you will love getting to understand the needs of the workforce and use your eye for detail to provide comprehensive, responsive advice and guidance to the sector that is on time and on point.

You will be a champion for the sector when changes are designed and delivered.

Through designing accessible feedback and evaluation loops you will become the in-team expert on the issues and trends in the sector when making changes.

You will also offer :

  • Several years' work experience in a relevant field, these could include : employment relations, workforce strategy / change management, service design, stakeholder engagement, human resources, or payroll.
  • A passion for building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
  • Experience in a complex organisation, ideally in a project-based environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to write succinctly and concisely.
  • The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.
  • Applications are encouraged from applicants with knowledge and experience of working in the school sector.
