You'll manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they meet clinical, regulatory, and community needs.You'll work closely with clinical leaders, contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Your role will involve coordinating technical feasibility studies, managing procurement and compliance, project delivery, contractor management and ensuring robust governance and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.About the Team / Service / LocationThe IIG team are focused on delivering high-impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system.
Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, they understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.About youYou're someone who's practical, reliable, and experienced in managing projects from start to finish.
You've worked in environments where things move quickly and where juggling multiple priorities is part of the job.
You know how to keep a project on track and you're confident making decisions when things get complex.You have a proven track record in managing health or government sector projects, with experience in stakeholder engagement, risk management, and compliance.
You're comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and driving projects forward with clarity and purpose.You communicate clearly, build effective working relationships, and maintain a focus on outcomes.
You understand the importance of designing health facilities that are safe, functional, and responsive to the needs of patients, staff, and communities.You will bring : 5+ years' experience in project delivery within engineering, construction, or related fields.Strong understanding of clinical environments and NZ building compliance.Proven ability to manage risk, stakeholder relationships, and project governance.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act
