Through integration andcollaboration, we - re building a health system underpinned by partnership,equity, sustainability, whanau-centred care, and excellence.About the RoleThe principalobjective of this role is to establish, develop and maintain trainingprogrammes and provide advice to management and staff regarding safe moving& handling practices which meet statutory, quality and injury preventionrequirements.About theTeam / Service / LocationThe role reports tothe Occupational Therapy Clinical Leader and has functional relationships withclinical leaders across the hospital service, the Health and Safety Committee, Qualityand Risk and moving and handling champions.About youThis role is suited toa health care professional such as a RN, EN, Physio or OT and or a health careworker with experience in a similar role and a qualification in ergonomics,moving & handling and someone with an adult teaching qualification andexperience would be advantageous.
Additionally;Experienceof developing and delivering moving & handling training programmes,including the use of equipment, for all staffKnowledgeand experience with NZ legislation and the NZ Patient Handling guidelines plusother relevant legislation ( see position description for the full list)Effectivepresentation and group facilitation skills and ability to coach and facilitatechangeITliterate, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointWorking at HealthNew ZealandHealth New Zealand |Te Whatu Ora is - the weaving of wellness - .
