• 0.8FTE (32 hours a week), Fixed Term till April 2026 due to Parental Leave

• About the Role
• We have an exciting opportunityfor you to join one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Australasia as aHealthcare Assistant.We are looking for an engaging and friendly HealthcareAssistant to join our nursing team.As a Healthcare Assistant you will be providing support andcare to patients and whanau arriving and being treated in all areas of theEmergency Department.You will be responsible forcarrying out daily tasks within your shift and working in collaboration withcolleagues. You will be supported by the nursing team with ongoing educationalopportunities specific to your role.

• Based in the Waipapa building,our department is divided into functional areas and sees an average of 137,000presentations per year.
• About you
• You will enjoy working as partof a multidisciplinary team, have excellent interpersonal and organisationalskills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to work well underpressure.
• Ability to work Morning, Afternoon and Nights
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Initiative and a proactive approach to work
• Flexible and Adaptable.
• Engaging personality with energy and enthusiasm
• Basic computer literacy
• Physically fit and be able to be on your feet for an entire shift as the role involves a lot of walking around the department.
