Full time, Fixed term, Start Date : 19 / 01 / 2026, End Date : 20 / 11 / 2026 (Maternity leave)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our lovely and spacious Kindergarten in Silverdale for a fun, caring, passionate and professional teacher to cover the maternity leave of one of our much-loved teachers.

Our kindergarten has amazing indoor‑outdoor flow and is nestled within a beautiful environment which we pride ourselves on. Embracing our core values of manaakitanga, auaha, whanaungatanga, kaitiakitanga and ako, and with a strong focus on sustainability, our environment plays an integral role in our daily programme.

Tamariki attend between 8.30am–2.30pm and full‑time teachers work 8am to 4.30pm. Teachers experience excellent working conditions under the Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement (KTCA) (6 week’s annual leave, 3 week’s professional time, generous non‑contact time) and the security of being part of a supportive Association that schedules regular PLD and an annual conference.

The team consists of a head teacher, 3 full‑time and 2 part‑time teachers and a part‑time support person who all work 5 days a week, and an administrator.

• A commitment to making sure all tamariki experience a fun and educational learning environment every day.
• Passionate about sustainability
• A NZ recognised ECE teaching qualification
• Current NZ Teacher Certification
• Current First Aid Certificate
• NZ citizenship / residency or hold a NZ work visa.
