Permanent part-time 0.8FTE (32hours per week) Expert clinical nursing knowledge with experience in cancer / surgical specialties NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.

About the Role Exciting opportunity for someone to work as a Cancer Nurse Coordinator across the Hepatobiliary / Colorectal / Melanoma and Brain Tumour streams.

This role requires you to manage patients in partnership with the relevant Clinicians and manage referrals from other services with advice re coordination management of patients with high suspicion or confirmed cancer at the beginning of the patients pathway until treatment.

Critical and agile thinking is key and being able to cross cover tumour streams for planned and unplanned leave is essential in our small CNC team.

This is a Monday – Friday role, 8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm.

We have a small team of five and this role requires a high level of autonomy and liaison across services to advocate for and manage patients across the cancer care continuum.

About You At least 5 years post registration experience in cancer, general surgery or upper gastroenterology services.

Hold a post-graduate qualification Expert clinical nursing knowledge with experience in cancer / surgical specialties Effective interpersonal skills and a clear communicator A solution focused approach to your work and the ability to problem solve and think on your feet Proven nursing leadership skills Role model and demonstrate professional behaviour NZ Registered Nurse with current Annual Practising Certificate Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
